CELLO CLINIC
The 10th Annual North Texas Summer Cello Clinic will be held June 14 - 18, 2010 in Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas, TX.
The Clinic offers five days of intense study for aspiring cellists. The curriculum includes individual classes and group instruction with an emphasis on technique, solo repertoire, All-State orchestra excerpts, and variety of other aspects of the cello playing. In addition, all students will participate in cello ensembles rehearsed throughout the week. All full time participants will have the opportunity to perform with a pianist for solo classes. The summer clinic ends with a Grand Finale concert, featuring solo performances by all participants and Professor Eugene Osadchy. This unique cello clinic is open to well-qualified high school and college students, and young professionals. Also welcome are string teachers and older individuals who seek to improve their knowledge and love for the cello.
This year, Professor Eugene Osadchy will present the clinic as a part of two-weeks Elan International Music Festival.First week tuition - $425.00 ($85 per day). As a special offer, Cello Clinic participants can attend lectures, concerts, and master classes given by Elan faculty on June 19th and 20th. During the second week of the Elan festival, June 21-26, the faculty, which includes world-renowned St. Petersburg String Quartet, will offer concerts, chamber music coachings, and master classes. Students who wish to participate in the Cello Clinic and the second week of Elan International Music Festival will receive special price of $750.00 for both weeks.
